Jim S for Model Number KSM150PSB I replaced the control board, part # AP4568339 (ord # 2200407). Mixer still will not start. Voltage good from power cord to control board. Governor contacts look good. What do I look for next ? I now have two control boards, either two good or two bad. Thank you, Jim
Answer Hi Jim. Considering we did not get the last 2 or 3 letters of the model # , I will pick the first one out of 2-dozen to help you. They end in "sbf0". There is a couple of things to check. Make sure the plate control contacts are not pitted and stopping the voltage to the motor brush leads. The controller is part # WPW10119326. It is currently an out of stock part ,but we expect to get more very soon. Is the brushes and spring in good order. If they are worn down they need replaced . They are part # WPW10380496, Rotate slowly the armature and look at the commutator to see if the copper bars are burnt open. They from time to time may need the brush debris cleaned from the commutator caps so the brushes make contact. If the armature is physically burnt (large black gap) then the armature needs replaced as well as the brushes. The armature is part # W11133634 . Thank you. Read More...
