This mechanical cycle timer regulates the sequence and duration of the washer's programs. Replacing a worn timer restores proper cycle advancement, helping the machine start, progress, and complete wash, rinse, and spin stages as designed.

  • Sequences power to the drive motor, pump, and water valves through each stage of the cycle
  • Advances the internal cam and contacts to move the washer from wash to rinse to spin
  • Helps with: cycle not advancing or stopping mid-cycle; won't start on certain settings; no agitate or no spin in selected cycles; knob won't turn or feels loose
  • Mounts in the control console and interfaces with the cycle knob
What's included: One mechanical timer assembly. Install notes:
  • Unplug the washer before servicing
  • Open the control console; remove the knob/dial and the timer's mounting hardware
  • Photograph or label wiring; transfer leads to the new timer one at a time to matching terminals
  • Reassemble, ensure the knob indexes correctly, and run a test cycle

Hi Roy. Take a putty knife on top of the front panel and release the 2 inner corner clips. Then pull out on the front panel and lift it off the top of the bottom frame clips. Use a shop vac and see if the tub to pump hose -called a -sump hose part # WP213045 is clear. Then make sure to remove the belt kit part # 12112425 off the pump and see if the pump part # WP6-2022030 is clear and the pump bearing is not frozen. Use drain-o in the standpipe while you are doing this to insure it is clear. Make sure the drain hose is no more then 6-8" into the standpipe and there is a air gap in between the standpipe and the hose to make sure there is no chance of a vapor lock. Look up into the outer tub while the sump hose is removed to make sure the is a complete path fort the tub to drain. Is the tub turning during an advanced timer spin ? Does the motor part # 12002353 reverse direction allowing the spin mode ? Does the timer part # WP22001252 send the 120 vac to the motor ? Use the wiring diagram in the control panel to assist. Let us know how to assist further. Thank You.
