The Float Switch is an OEM replacement part specific to Bosch dishwashers. It is a switch located in the sump area of the dishwasher tub that detects water levels and provides feedback for automatic filling and draining functions. Symptoms of a bad float switch include:
Causes of a bad float switch are usually mineral or sediment buildup disrupting its buoyancy and sensing ability. Without a properly functioning float switch, the dishwasher cannot effectively monitor water levels to manage filling and drainage. This OEM Bosch replacement switch is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.
I checked continuity at the float switch since I knew the inlet valve was working when direct wired to 120v. Switch did not have continuity. Replaced switch and inlet valve worked at start of cycle. Read more
The Float Switch is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. This part monitors the water level inside the dishwasher. It helps prevent overflows by detecting when the water level gets too high and signaling the control board to stop filling and start draining the water.
Causes of a bad float switch can include wear and tear from regular use, buildup of debris or mineral deposits, or electrical malfunctions.
Symptoms of a bad float switch include:
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.
The On/Off Switch is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. It provides the function of powering the unit on or off with the press of a button.
Causes can be normal wear over thousands of cycles or moisture damage compromising electronics. Physical impact could also affect switch operation over time.
Symptoms of a bad on/off switch include:
This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.
Initially performed troubleshooting over the phone with Bosch customer support and did preliminary research on the web. Ultimately had to call out service technician to isolate/confirm problem. He confirmed the problem was most likely the switch (if not, the actually computer processor) and gave me the part number (since it was going to take 10 BD's for him to get the part). I ordered through Appliance Parts Pros and received the part in only 2 days. However, upon trying to install it, I... Read more
The Sensor is an OEM replacement part for Bosch dishwashers. It detects soil levels through cycles, automatically adjusting water volumes and times for optimal cleaning. Precise sensing reduces overwashing.
Causes of a bad sensor involve general deterioration from continuous usage monitoring wash parameters thousands of times. Dirt or debris accumulation triggers false readings, decreasing efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad sensor include:
This OEM Bosch part maintains customized cleaning for Thermador versions as well.
REPLACED DOOR LATCH AND DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY. EVERYTHING WORKS AGAIN. Read more
The Pressure Chamber is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. This part is responsible for monitoring and controlling the water level within the dishwasher. It operates by sensing the pressure exerted by the height of the water in the tub and ensures that the dishwasher fills with the correct amount of water for optimal cleaning performance.
Causes for replacement may involve wear and tear over extended use, mineral buildup affecting the switch’s sensitivity, or electrical faults leading to inconsistent performance.
Symptoms of a failing Pressure Chamber include:
Using instructions I obtained over the internet, I first removed the DW's bottom cover panels so I could look inside the DW (with a flashlight) while it was running. I had to put their dishwasher through several wash cycles before I could pinpoint the location of the leak. (The water appeared to be coming from above on the left side of the DW, near the top, rear of the DW's blue "Pressure Chamber." Thinking that the problem likely lay in either a malfunctioning Pressure Chamber or in a... Read more
Wax motor for detergent/rinse-aid dispenser.
Took door off, saw that dispenser linkage was ok, I could open and close by hand, so figured the wax motor or the wiring to it were most likely the problem. I took off the wax motor ( actuator) and ran 120 volts to it via jumper wires, and it did not move at all, so figured good chance that was the problem. Found part # on your site, received new one quickly from you, put it in and works great. Thanks. Read more
