This genuine OEM part is a timer for washers. The timer is the part that allows the washer to start and stop after being in use for a amount of time. The settings of the timer are controlled by the user and will adjust automatically depending on the desired settings. If the washer is no longer stopping after the desired time has elapsed, the timer might need to be replaced. To replace the timer, start by making sure the washer is unplugged. After that, pull the washer away from the wall to access the back panel. Once accessed, remove the screws that attach to the back panel and locate the timer. Once located, remove the mounting screws that hold it in place. Proceed to pull the timer out of the washer, and replace it with the new part.
