This is a genuine replacement ignition module for select Husqvarna lawn and garden equipment engines. The ignition module, also known as the armature-magneto, creates high voltage power in pulses, which then passes on to the spark plugs and allows them to create the spark to fire the engine. This part consists of the ignition coil and the spark plug boot, which is made with durable rubber and insulated metal. When the various components fail, the engine may not get the spark that it needs to turn over because the spark plug is not getting the power. A replacement will get the equipment running again. This OEM replacement part is designed for use on gas-powered blowers and string trimmers, including select models from Husqvarna, Poulan, Weed Eater, and Jonsered. The ignition module comes as a complete part and includes the boot assembly and coil, so no additional purchases will be required. Hardware is not included, however, and will need to be bought separately when it is needed. This unit is sold individually. The engine should be cool before doing any repairs and gloves should always be worn to protect the hands during engine repairs and parts replacements.
I ordered a new Ignition Module, replaced it adjusted it, and ran as well as a new leaf blower. Read more

This genuine OEM replacement ignition module is a type of electric switch used to send signals to the ignition cable and create a spark to fire up the engine in a gas-powered chainsaw. When the ignition coil creates a high-voltage charge, it triggers the spark plugs to create a spark and ignite some fuel so the engine will start. The ignition is usually one of the first things to check if an appliance's engine does not start, after checking for fuel and then the spark plugs. If the spark plugs are fine, though, the problem is likely to do with another part of ignition, namely the ignition module. As it is located near a high-voltage region of the ignition, the switch can fry and will need to be replaced. Using a pair of pliers, a screwdriver, and a wrench set, switch out the faulty ignition module and test the engine to see if it starts. This replacement ignition module is compatible with Craftsman chainsaws and does not include any addition hardware. As a high-quality part, it comes sourced directly from the original manufacturer.
