How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP4355372 / 00645208 Detergent And Rinse Aid Dispenser

I replaced the dispenser easily and quickly thanks to this part and the helpful video from AppliancePartsPros.com After inserting the new dispenser, I made sure that all 8 metal fins were engaged around the dispenser (3 on top, 1 on each side, 3 on the bottom) which wasn't shown in the video but helped ensure that the part was seated properly. 

I watched your video and replaced the detergent dispenser. Your video was great. I did run into an issue disconnecting two of the connections. I also found a wire that was cut. Not sure how that happened. I had to solder the connection. 

Ordered a new drain pump and soap dispenser from AppliancePartsPros.com Followed the video on there site. This was a very easy DIY. 

Replaced dispenser unit, found a broken white wire at the bottom of the hinged door. Repaired the wire by soldering it back together. The dishwasher then worked as it should. 

Solenoid was likely bad and decided to replace the whole unit. Great video on how to replace the soap dispenser with step by step directions. Would have taken less than 10 minutes but decided to also replace a plastic handle, which also had a video. Probably saved $250. Replacement parts arrived in 2 days. Excellent experience, would highly recommend. 

Replaced Detergent and Rinse Aid Dispenser per instruction video posted on YouTube. Very simple and completed in approx. 1 hour. 

I watched the video which made it easy. Use the dime trick don’t bend the tabs because it will make your task harder than it needs to be. When I put the new one in, it just popped right in with no problem. Also, have eight dimes, not a couple. 

Rinse-Aid dispenser wasn't working so I decided to replace this unit. The only two slightly tricky parts to the repair were (1) removing the front cover to the dishwasher and (2) popping in the new "Detergent and Rinse-Aid Dispenser" unit. For (1), the removal of the front cover, yes you need to slide the front panel "down and out" to remove it, as explained in the accompanying repair video, but what the video doesn't make clear is that the front panel doesn't just slide "down and out" without any resistance. You actually have to slide down and then apply a little bit of force to pull and pop the panel out as it is apparently held in place by some spring clips or something. As for (2), the repair video has good advice on using dimes to hold the spring clips to the old "Detergent and Rinse-Aid Dispenser"open so that you can pop it out and remove it, so be sure to pay close attention to that part of the video. Putting in the new Dispenser unit is fairly straightforward, although you will need to carefully apply enough force to pop it into place so that all of the spring clips engage it and hold it in place without any leaks at its rubber seal. 

Replaced it. Repair to about one hour. Everything is working great now??
