Donna H Glendora , CA July 13, 2015 Appliance: Model WTA3510US Broken door latch 10 year old dryer Removed the door by placing head of small flathead screwdriver on seam at corner of door and gently drawing it along seam on top edge. The seam opened immediately. Then I ran head of screwdriver down the side and removed door opening side seam. Using Allen wrench, I removed screws holding latch in place. Pulled out broken latch and replaced it reusing existing screws. Snapped door back in place. I am in my mid-70's, don't do a lot of DYI projects and was apprehensive about removing door because I couldn't find instructions or online video and I didn't want to make the problem bigger. Called Bosch service company I have used and was advised repair would be $125 plus part. Facing a third trip to the laundromat and inspired by the stories of others making the repair I opted to give it a try and voila! T'was indeed a snap. Alec W Tempe , AZ November 06, 2014 Appliance: Model WTL5410UC The latch broke on my bosch drier Frankly, it was a snap - or un-snap if you will. The back panel of the door just pops off of the Bosch drier and the torx screws that secure the latch readily accepted my metric hex key set. I saved at least a couple weeks doing this myself rather than hassling the apartment super and waiting on two trips by the building custodian. Anne L Minneapolis , MN October 17, 2016 The latch of the bosch axxis condensation dryer was broken I got the model number and triple checked all of the nimbers matched before i ordered. I am a property manager who has flakey handymen. He thought we needed a whole new dryer door...i said we just need the part. So i closed my eyes and hit sumbit on the order praying it was the part was correct for that dryer model. The part came and i went over to fix the dryer since the renters had waiting way to long for. I saw that you couldnt jist rehook it in. I took the door off the hinges, needing a weird shaped drill bit. The door came off pretty easily and the i opened the door (its in two pieces) drilled the latch througj the inside of the door. Put the door back on and it worked perfectly. It took about 20mins for an ametur. The part also shipped in 2 days which was great! Didn't even remove door from dryer. Used flat head screw driver to gradually remove door then removed old latch with a "metric hex key". Installed new piece, secured screws, and placed door back on dryer. Worked great. Thanks again to the on-line posters.
