How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2031097 / WB44X5099 Oven Heating Element

Purchased new element 

Replaced burned out lower element with new one from Appliance Parts PROS 

I Youtubed a video, it led me to your site, i was first in line on the call, i talked with an amazingly helpful woman, and in 2 days i had this replacement part in hand; i was able to replace it myself. You Go Girl!!!!! i will rave about this experience to anyone willing to listen - this is EXACTLY how all business transactions should be handled. Thank You!! 

Ordered the part, called because I wanted to be sure the part was correct. The lady was very knowledgeable. 

Ordered the replacement bake element. 

-Turned off the breaker. -Removed the door ( This oven is old enough and that is very simple. Flip 2 latches and pull off the door) -Unscrewed the old element from the back of the oven. -Clamped thermostats on the wires so they would not fall into the back of the oven -Unscrewed the wires from the old heating element, and pulled it out of the oven -Screwed the wires onto the new element. -Bolted the element to the back of the oven -Reinstalled the door -Turned on the breaker 

Replaced the 6" burner and the 8" in front and the drip pans on under all 4 elements. 

The new heating element fit perfectly and the screws came with it. Our oven was fixed in a matter of minutes. 

After searching online I found a recommendation for an element that might possibly fit. I had my father explain the shape of the element and I was able to locate it at AppliancePartsPros.com! We installed it with no problem and it works perfectly! Thank you for the speedy delivery and selection!
