Thomas R Batavia , NY November 26, 2022 Appliance: Hot Point Electric Dryer HTDX100ED6WW Broken belt caused by excessive wobble/vibration and noise. Replace the belt and rear bearing sleeve (worn), plus the front drum bearings and bearing slides (worn). The worn rear bearing sleeve and front drum bearings were very worn and caused the dryer to shake and vibrate which I believe wore out the belt prematurely. Once the parts were replaced the Dryer ran better than new. Amazing. Used the Video repair guides to get my education on how to do the repair. I spent $110 on Parts, and Saved over $200 in Labor! And over $600 had I just bought a new Dryer. AppliancePartsPros.com has a customer for life. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers

Gerard P Crescent City , CA March 25, 2019 Appliance: Model DBSR453B3WW Worn out sliders and bearing. Since the bearing is apparently no longer available for my old model, I used some J-B Weld to rebuild the plastic where the drum had worn it away. The top sliders were completely worn thru and the drum had cut almost completely thru the plastic bearing in some critical places. Good old J-B Weld did the trick. I put it back together, and it works like a charm. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
