With the dryer apart, I replaced the rear drum bearing sleeve & o-ring, drive belt and drive pulley. After the assembly, the dryer ran great, no noises at all! Read More... Since the bearing is apparently no longer available for my old model, I used some J-B Weld to rebuild the plastic where the drum had worn it away. The top sliders were completely worn thru and the drum had cut almost completely thru the plastic bearing in some critical places. Good old J-B Weld did the trick. Roy F Mansfield , TX April 21, 2018 Noisy dryer sounded like a bad bearing Ordered front and rear bearing components and also a replacement bulb. Watched a couple of videos on this repair. Disassembly was very easy. Only tool needed was a phillips screwdriver. Spent about 15 minutes cleaning out accumulated lint deposits. Replaced rear bushing and front bearing components in about 10 minutes. Reassembled in another 15 minutes. Noise is gone and dryer sounded new. Read More...
