How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5632405 / WE4M527 Dryer Timer Control

Ordered new timer 

Replaced the timer switch. 

Purchased new timer and control knobs and replaced old parts. Installation was simple and fairly quick. Happy to see that the new timer was an exact replacement part. New control knobs had improved design to help prevent cracking of the control stem boss. Before removing old timer, I recommend drawing a wiring diagram and include wire colors and terminal identifiers. 

My husband took apart the front panel and took the broken parts. He went online to this great website and order the parts. I am couples days the parts were here and just took literally 10 minutes to put the pieces back together. Thank you for a great services and print delivery. 

Unfortunately the stud on the dryer timer somehow got broken where the dial wouldn't work. So I ordered the part, received it well ahead of the anticipated delivery time. It took more time to get access to the part then it took to replace it. I have to say and that wasn't very long. I replaced the new time with ease and my dryer is as good as new. Appliance part came through with the genuine part. 

Order both parts from Appliance Parts Pros, fast delivery. The video was helpful except I neede a star type screw driver instead of a nut driver prescribed in the video. Was able to substitute an alen wrench instead. All worked out good in the end. Also I saved aroun $15.00 using APP. 

Replaced it with new part. Changed it out in a few minutes also got a new knob and it works great! 

I replaced bother the timer and knob. 

I replaced it with a new time and now it works like brand new. A bit pricey for the timer but a lot less than buying a new drier like I was going to. VERY SATISFIED!!!!!!!!! 

Got the part the day after I ordered it went and put it in it works perfect and the dryer runs great now
