Ray M Falls Church , VA September 09, 2018 Appliance: LG Dryer DLEX3875V LG dryer start and stop immediately The part repair advised to change the moisture sensor, but it didn't solve the problem. Thang N Haverhill , MA January 23, 2015 Appliance: LG Dryer DLG8388NM Not enough hot and seem like the light(burner) is not staying long enough Replaced moisture sensors and thermistor, they helped more heat but still not enough, checking the gas interval, and it seemed ok but when the light (burner) is on it is not staying long enough like before. Checked gas line and found out the leaking gas very small crack at the end of connector from dryer to gas pipe. Replaced the accordion gas hose and it was the culprit. Lori H Memphis , MI September 14, 2020 Appliance: LG Dryer DLGX2651W LG gas dryer not heating You are our new go to website for parts and repair videos on all of our appliances. After reading some of the other comments, I decided to do what they did. I had to take the drum out anyway, so I might as well replace all of the parts that could be defective. My total order was just $165.00 dollars. It's between $80.00-$100 dollars just to get a repair person in the drive. We live in the country on the edge of a county border, so it's hard to get someone to come out and do any job. I watched every video that you had attached to that part. I couldn't of done it without them! Good news: I fixed the dryer! Bad news, I had 3 screws left over. (insert nervous laugh here) So far, everything sounds solid. Cristina G Belcamp , MD February 18, 2018 Appliance: Model DLE5955W (ABWEEUS) Lg dryer running but no heat/ burn smell Hello. Initially clothes would take more cycles to dry completely until one day just stopped working and it smelled like burned "dog hair" and I don't have pets.I found out the vent was dislodged inside so all the lint and heat was going into the dryer instead of outside. I don't know if this is a factory defect. I changed all 3 thermostats and the thermistor. The high limit thermostat was clearly burnt and the thermistor had the red wire melted. I changed all of them just to make sure. Didn't changed the moisture sensor yet because you need to,order 2 and not one lol plus wasn't necessary because changing parts above mentioned ,fixed the problem. Had to vacuum rolls of lint that been accumulated there for probably 10 years , that was the nasty part. I say that putting it back together took a little time but overall was easier than I thought. Thank you again appliancepartspros. Fixed my washer machine and now my dryer thanks to you guys. Women, don't be scared , I did it twice now , easy , saved me a lot of money. Wayne R West Hills , CA September 13, 2021 Appliance: Amana Gas Dryer LG1009W The dryer did not heat up. Replaced almost all sensors due to age and a lack of test values. Worked for about a week and stopped heating again. Disassemble again and noticed the plastic stem that adjusts gas flow was backed out on the gas valve. Tightened the lock nut but that was fixed to the stem. Found the blower thermostat was open. Replaced the thermostat again and everything works. Reasoning is that too much gas flow caused an overheat. Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Wrench Set
