Lee O Pinellas Park , FL October 30, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Refrigerator RS2545SH/XAA Ice maker tray stuck in inverted position Ordered icemaker assembly after pressing the black reset button and no response. Also unplugged and pluged in refrigerator to reset it and that did not fix it. I unscrew two screw and pull the icemaker housing towards me and disconnect one wire. The water tube is affixed to the refrigerator and there is no need to mess with that. I pressed on one tab and slid the icemaker tray and wire from the housing and replaced it with the new one. Connect one wire and two screws and press the black reset button and saw the refrigerator filled the tray with water. It took two hours for the first set of ice to drop. Read More... And the video was for a different make and kind of ice maker. Fortunately Samsung kept it simple enough. Unscrew two screws at the front of ice maker bend rubber retaining tab forward. Then slide maker forward and down disconnect wiring harness on old maker and reverse process for new one. Took about7 to10 minutes. Read More... Christopher V Layton , UT October 16, 2014 Ice maker out We lived with the problem of not having dispensed ice for WAY too long. The repair couldn't have been easier. In total it was a couple of screws and unplugging the old and plugging in the new. The only concern I have is that the exact part number I needed was discontinued (needed the 'B' but took the 'C'). It appears the only difference is in the shape of the ice cubes it makes. They seem to take a tad longer to work down the auger and out the shoot. I kept the old square-cube tray and might swap that out to get at the smaller cubes, but all 'n all, it is incredibly simple. I really hope it lasts and the arm doesn't break like the original.
