How to Troubleshoot & Replace Samsung AP4135567 / DA32-10105R Refrigerator Temperature Sensor

After reading stories on this website I decided the problem was probably the control board. I ordered the sensors also just in case. The display has been dim for awhile so I got that also. I replaced the board and the display in less than an hour. It is working perfectly now so I never installed the sensors. I believe the board was ruined by a recent power outage. The power flickered several times before it went out, I don't think the board could handle the fluctuations. This will be my go to place for parts from now on. Parts in stock and shipped fast. 

My son removed rear inside panel exposing evaporator coil, drain trough and drain hole which was plugged with ice. He poured hot water on the ice which melted after several hours and also added a copper heating wire from tht evap coil down into the drain hole. Finally he put things back together and set the temp to 42 degrees. Only time will tell if this corrects the problem. BTW, has anyone checked the reviews on Amazon for the Samsung RF217 acrs fridge? Scary! 

Had fridge side frosting up almost every two weeks. Ordered a new defrost sensor for my Samsung 2534 and shes running like new. No more frost ups. The thing I'm really happy with is the shipping. I ordered this part on a Friday afternoon and it was at my door Saturday by noon. Very impressed. I also can't complain that the part price was 40% cheaper then anywhere local. If i ever need appliance parts again i know where to come. 

Cleaned air vents under refrigerator, vacuumed out evaporators and blew out dust from the compressor compartment, let defrost for most of the day. Plugged it back in and it worked, for about a week, then did the same thing. Ordered and replaced both the defrost sensor and the temperature sensor for the refrigerator side. The entire bottom half of the evaporator was a block of ice. I used a heat gun to melt all of the ice, and then re-assembled refrigerator. Now I'm waiting to see if that fixed the problem. 

I unplugged the unit. Let the evap thaw. Measured with an ohm meter the temp sensor, defrost sensor and evap heaters. Defrost sensor measured completely " closed". Put sensor into hot water and ice, the reading never changed. Ordered sensor from AP PROS, got the part extremely fast, installed part, freezer was making ice in an hour. I did a lot of online research, too. Thanks, AP PROS! Freezer only down 3 days. Fridge side working. 

Replaced the defrost heater, Temp sensor, and defrost thermostat. I'm pretty sure the defrost heater was the only faulty part, but I replaced the other parts to be safe. Took me about 20 minutes start to finish. I know the defrost heater was bad because it failed the continuity test. Parts were delivered within 3 days! This is the second time using Appliancepartspros.com and I will not go anywhere else. Thank you! 

Replaced the temperature sensor and the heating element, the repair would have taken the recommended time that your company suggested, but there was so much ice to chop away, that took an hour, but after the ice was cleared the parts was very easy to replace, thank you. 

I knew cooling the main refrig section came from the freezer & the freezer was OK. I also knew there was a fan to move the air. I called a repair service & they said they would come in 3 days, then 7-20 days for ordering necessary parts. Appliance Parts Pros helped in determining it must be the the evaporator fan. I also noticed fan was making a noise. I ordered fan, 2 day shipping, & it was here early 2nd day, 2 days b4 service company was coming. The cost was less than the service call would have been. Took my time, kept screws in order & took about 1 1/2 hours. Not only saved a bundle & up & running over a week sooner than service company by over a week
