How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6017050 / WPW10206089 Control Panel Assembly (Stainless Steel)

After narrowing problem down to the control panel by doing some research and reading your website reviews from other people with the same problem I ordered a new control panel and replaced it myself. it was easy to figure out once you looked at it, especially if your handy. swapping over computer board is plug and play and the only tools I needed was a screwdriver{ Phillips head} and a flashlight. dealing with this company was great. it was straight forward and they shipped out my part much faster than expected, and it was the right part too. also part came in factory whirlpool box was I felt better about since I was worried I would be getting some knock-off replacement part. overall a good experiance 

The control board would register EE-214 which one of the diagnostic remarks said was a control panel touch pad issue. I was not sure and ordered both the control panel and the electronic control board. I did not install the control board as the touch pad fixed the problem. In my case the touch pad stopped working except for the bake setting. After a month it stopped working all together and would come up with the clock and code when I unplugged and plugged the stove in. The convection fan would run for 2 seconds turn off and the clock and code would come on to the digital screen from the control board. Been working great for the past few days after putting new control assembly in--touch pad. 

I ordered a new control panel. Had a friend replace the old w the new. It was very simple to do, and a review by Christine helped greatly. She realized that the door gasket also needed to be replaced as it was allowing heat from the oven and that had stressed the control panel. Great info! Thanks Christine!
