How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6010674 / WP71001799 Oven Control Board

Replaced the oven Control Board, WP71001799. The part arrived as promised and worked immediately after installation. 

Removed and replaced both heating element and display board. 

Installed new display 

Replaced control panel 

Purchased an oven control board though AppliancePartsPros. It was very easy to remove the panel but removing the four hex screws under the cover. I then pulled out the stove control knobs and removed the four machine screws situated underneath. That allowed the panel to be loosened. Once loosened, I removed the three ribbon cables and the two machine screws holding the Oven control board in place. Once I swapped out the board, I performed the reverse procedure I used to remove it. Piece of cake and worked flawlessly. 

Tiffany helped me to choose the 2 parts that would most likely fix the problem. The parts arrived in amazingly short time. My husband opened the electric range front and replaced the Oven Control Board in less than 30 minutes. Didn't even need to pull out the slide in range. We returned the Overlay Assembly as it was not needed. Everyone I dealt with was extremely kind and courteous. 

Change control board and cleaned ribbon with help of tech support . 

Removed control panel, unplugged the board reinstalled with new one . very easy 

Ordered new part and spoke to a tech to verify my diagnosis. Received part in 2 days, installed and was up and running in 15 minutes. I did speak to one of the techs during the reinstall process as I was having a bit of trouble sliding the relay ribbon into place. Perfectly addressed ! Great experience. I'm sold ! 

Purchased a new board and installed it in about 15 minutes. Took more time cleaning areas on the oven that you could not see normally.
