Hampton P Chesapeake , VA November 23, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Dryer WED9200SQ1 F 01 code on the dryer dryer would not start drying would subsequently shut down After referring to a couple of forums on the subject, I was convinced that I needed to replace the Electronic control board. Was about to order the board based on the part number associated to the video on the repair. Decided to take a look inside before ordering the part. It looked different so I did some more research. Got the Serial number and model number of the dryer to make sure I was ordering the correct part then ordered it on a Sunday. The part arrived Wednesday and I pu it in Wednesday night. I had the new one out while removing the old one to make a comparison to find any differences. There were some slight differences with the connectors and where they went but nothing requiring any alterations to the board or the wiring harness on the dryer. I removed the connectors from the old one, removed the board, installed the new board and replaced the connectors. (only needed a nut driver for the whole repair!) I then gave it a quick test run prior to putting the top back on the cabinet. Worked fine. Laundry was was back in business that night! Dave R Harlan , IN December 16, 2014 Appliance: Maytag Electric Dryer MEDE300VF1 F01 code and dryer would not start F01 code came on the dryer and it would not start up. The control board was bad and needed to be replaced. Ordered the parts from Appliance Pros and received it in less then 24 hrs. even though i had ordered it with only standard shipping. Very easy to replace. Just take off the top (2 bolts) and then remove the control pannel (1 bolt holds the panel to the attachment plate) and then remove 4-5 wire connectors. If you need to, take a picture of the wires connected to the old control pannel so you can make sure that you get them in the right place on the new panel. Michael S Chesapeake , VA November 14, 2014 Appliance: Model KENMORE HE3 DRYER 110.87872602 Kenmore elite he3 dryer heating element came on and stayed on even during air dry!! I went straight to Google and then removed the front panel to gain access to the thermal fuse, thermostats, heating element etc. I determined the thermal fuse was bad replaced that and then ran the dryer and noticed that the heating element came on even on air dry and never went off! Further Googleing instructed me to remove the P4 plug from the control board and read across P3 and P6 on the connector if between 5 and 15K ohms replace the board. That's when I found AppliancePartsPros. Their price with next day air was cheaper than anybody else local or online. The control board was delivered as promised and the repair took less than 30 minutes. Dryer is working fine again and I have added AppliancePartsPro to my favorites in case I need any additional parts or technical help. Glenn M East Setauket , NY August 28, 2015 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL DUET F 01 code whirlpool duet won't even start Sunday morning my wife woke me to say the dryer wouldn't start yet was just fine the day before. I looked at the display and a fault code was presented. I went on line and found that its a ain control board that was shot. Looking for a repair video on youtube I found the videos for appliance pros.com and how to repair a dryer similar to mine so I went to their website. There I found a wealth of information and a very easy to use parts list. I simply typed in my part number from the board that I removed after watching their instructional video and in moments there it was a picture and reference number saying they had my part and it was 20% off! I ordered it with 24 hour shipping ( remember my wife was involved and minutes seemed like hours so I better get it pronto!) The part arrived as stated well packed and to my suppose aside from the board they included the plastic box the board resides in. I replaced it in minutes and the dryer is now fine and so is my marrage. They saved me a bundle the part was $220 so figure the repair would be at least $600. I can't say enough good things about the company Read More... 3 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
Steven L Kimberly , AL February 12, 2017 Appliance: Maytag Electric Dryer MEDE300VF0 F01 error code First unplug or flip the breaker to the dryer. Second take the top off the dryer. There are two screws on the back top side of dryer. Then identify the control panel. Next make a mental note of the snap in plugs. Be careful sliding the control panel off because there is one screw at the bottom and a snap lug on the back side. You might have to take the bracket loose that holds the control panel. It has two easy screws to take off. It should be easy to slide off at this point. Don't force! Be very careful not to drop screws into the dryer as it will be difficult to get out! At this point change the control panel and reverse these steps. Also remember when unplugging the connector that they are plastic, do not force. Take you time to see how they unplug. I hope this helps someone. It really was easy for someone that has a little mechanical skills.
