How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6014951 / WPW10084142 Dishwasher Control Board

I replaced the control board and it has been working just fine since. 

Replaced the main Control Board. 

I replaced it my self in less than a half hour!!! 

Replaced the electronic control board. 

After a good checking out I determined it was the computer board. I checked a good hundred sites for parts and they were as much help as a 4 year old until I got to App.Pro's site. showed exploded views of the parts as well as descriptions. They shipped it within 24 hours(more like 14) and in 2 days the part was delivered to my front door and I had the first load of dishes running with in 10 minutes. After looking at some posts it seemed the control board was the culprit. Dishwasher was only 4 years old and the motor sounded good so it was worth a try to fix instead of buying new. The board came within a week and was easy to install (I looked at a youtube video on how to install it). So now it works like new and I saved hundreds of $$$ or more if I had to buy a new dishwasher. Thanks AppliancePartPro, I'll definitely use you again..... 

New control board seems to have taken care of the problem. I'm about 5 washes in with absolutely no issues now. Repair was easy. In talking with an appliance repair person, make sure you are grounded prior to handling the control board since they are very sensitive to static electricity. I'm still somewhat curious, though, since it was so recently done - I'll be convinced in a month :) 

Whirlpool dishwasher would start for a few seconds then shut off after a few seconds. I called a repair company they came out and told me it was the control board. The repair was going to be as much as a new dishwasher so I opted not to have it repaired. I looked online for the part and found your website. Since it has a return policy for electrical parts I figured it wouldn't hurt to try to repair myself and save me $300. The part arrived within a week even though it was on backorder. The difficult part was getting the old control board out but once it was out, it wad an easy fix and the new one snapped right back into place. Dishwasher works great now.
