How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011209 / WP74010750 Electric Range Oven Bake Element

Replace the oven bake element. It turned out that the one we had (30 years old) was broken. 

Just had to unplug and work on these projects, it was very simple work. 

I ordered a new element and put it in. Now my oven works again. 

I found the correct replacement part at Appliance Parts Pros within a few minutes of starting my search online. I ordered the part for a reasonable price and the part arrived a day early. No problem swapping the old part out for the new one. Unplug the oven first (or you might be shocked). Remove a couple of screws that hold the element into the back wall of the oven. Pull the element forward. Disconnect the wiring by pulling on the spade connector to unplug the old part. Reverse operation for installing the new part. 

2 screws and done. 

Replaced the oven element. Simple repair and the oven works fine now. End result, Happy Wife! 

I bought the burner from you guys and got a screwdriver and took the two screws out that holds the burner in place in the back of the oven. I slowly pulled the burner out as to not disconnect the wires that are attached to the back of the burner (not that the wires come off easy because they don't, just being careful). I then slid the connectors off took the old burner out and then I installed the new one. It took less than 5 minutes to do. Now my oven cooks evenly. 

Found all the technical data on stove, to your web site and ordered the correct unit. Three days later the oven was up and working. 

Ordered/received replacement heating coil, installed, tested.
