How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011209 / WP74010750 Electric Range Oven Bake Element

Order the parts bolted it on 

We ordered a new heating element. It came within a week and we just watched a tutorial on how to switch it out, and it was no problem! Works great now and we saved ourselves a lot of money by not having to call a technician! 

Unscrewed tabs holding burner inside the oven. Then pulled out stove to access rear panel. Removed panel (2 screws) and disengaged the wire connections to the burner unit. Removed the old burner, and replaced the new burner. Screwed back the new holding tabs from inside the oven. Connected the wires in back of stove to the burner unit. Replaced the cover, and pushed stove back in place. 

I ordered a new element from AppliancePartsPros.com, watched their YouTube instructional video on how to replace it, and then did the repair myself! 

Very easy repair, especially after watching video on Appliance Parts Pros, and mind you I am not a very handy person. FYI, delivery came in a day and a half. Wow! :-) 

Got the model # , ordered the part ,did fast shipping but it got here 1 day later than told but that was ok this time, Easy fix 2 screws...from inside the oven ,move the racks out of your way first,then remove the screws holding the element in...unplug from element...just don't let the wires fall back inside or you will have to take the back off to push them out into the oven again...as always, turn off the breaker or fuse before stating just to be safe. 

I Ordered a new element and it was a perfect fit. It was simple to replace and took less than 15 minutes. 

Removed old element and installed new one. This repair was fairly simple. the only difficulty was reaching and holding the old terminals to accept the new element, due to the terminals being on the sides of the rear wall of the oven, rather than in the center as they are on many models of oven. Also, the wires holding the terminals were not very long and so made it harder than it could have been to pull out for connecting. 

Removed two screws unplugged the wires to the element. Installed new element. 

Turned off power. Unscrewed element. Unplugged it and put new one in its place.
