How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011209 / WP74010750 Electric Range Oven Bake Element

Replaced element which was a simple repair and saved me at least $75. Diagnosed the blister in my old element. Ordered the part before 11AM. The new item came within a day with NO special shipping charges and installed the new element in less than 15 minutes. 

Ordered for AppliancePartspros.com. 1/2 the price of the same one at sears. Arrived FedEx in two days. Two screws and two little plug's later and we are back in business. Great experience. 

Part received was an exact OEM replacement. Fast shipping. Unplugged stove from power, removed back of stove, disconnected wires from element. Went around to front of stove, opened door, removed grilles. removed two number 2 Phillips screw and removed element from stove. Re assembled in reverse order. Less than 30 minutes. Old element failed where baked on residue was stuck to element. Keep your oven elements clean. 

Followed the yellow brick road---Oz was right on!!!! 

Ordered the correct part from Appliance Parts Pros, and it was delivered next day with the $6.95 shipping option! Removing the old one and installing the new one was a breeze. I spent more time opening the box it was shipped in than anything else! 

Ordered part from you,received it the next day.It took about 5 minutes to replace. I unscrewed 2 screws on metal tabs holding element in place. Then i slowly pulled element towards me exposing connecting wires, then unplugged connectors. Then reversed procedure for installation. 

Tested the baking element with an ohm meter. It registered 0 conductivity.Ordered the part which arrived 2 days later. 2 screws and tightening two slip on tabs later, the oven was as good as new. 

Took out 2 screws and replaced the element. I found a you tube how to that I was able to follow. 

There was a pop in the oven and the bake element broke in two and seemed to ooze out onto the bottom of the oven. There were also little shrapnel pieces. I'm glad I found this site. The fix was very easy: I loosened the two screws on the brackets, disconnected the old element (taking care not to let the wires slip back behind the opening), connected the new element, and replaced the screws. Part works perfectly for my Magic Chef oven (CER1115AAW). Sears Parts Direct wanted $51 for the part, and that was before adding in the shipping. Through this site I got 2nd day shipping and the part for $41. This has been a very positive experience. 

Removed the broken element. Ordered a new one from you guys. 3 days later received the new one. Reinstalled it and is working great.
