How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011209 / WP74010750 Electric Range Oven Bake Element

Found the model# and serial# off of my oven typed it into the website and it bring up my parts list. I ordered the part before 10 am and it was on my doorstep the next day. Fit perfectly. Will be using this place for future needs.

I pulled the range away from the wall and unplugged it. Then I took the back off and unpluged the two wires feeding the element. Then I opened the oven door and removed two screws that let me remove the element. To install the new element I just reversed the process. It may have taken a half hour!! 

Removed old oven bake element and replaced with new oven bake element. 

Replaced the element. 

Just had to remove 2 phillips screws and pull the element forward and then pull off the wires. had to prevent the wires from going back into the holes by putting a clip on them. then, I just attached the wires to the new element and replaced the screws. The best part was that I got the element from Appliance Parts Pros in less than 24 hours without paying extra! 

This was the easiest appliance repair I have done. The lower element arrived in three days and took about eight minutes total to pull the stove out, unplug it, disconnect the old element and install new one. Only required a Phillips screwdriver. The tepair video at Appliancepartspros.com was very helpful. 

Replacement element arrived overnight as promised. removed 2 screws holding it in place in back of range, detached element from the connectors wired to range. Installed new element by re-attaching to the connectors and screwing it in place. very easy so no service call was required.
