James H Tooele , UT April 07, 2014 Appliance: Magic Chef Free Standing Electric Range CER1160AAH Bake element had shorted out. Removed the old baking element and replaced it with the new one. First I detached the screws removes the old baking element making sure that the wires stay attached and did not fall back into the oven. Detached the wires from the old baking element which was the hardest part. Attached the wires to the new baking element and attached the screws and the element has worked great since. Read More... The element was delivered to my home the next day. I removed the defective element and replaced it with the new one. The cost to me was exactly HALF of what Sears wanted to charge me! Excellent ! It was necessary to remove 2 screws and carefully pull the element out until the wire connections appeared. Then undo the wire ends and remove the old element. To install the new element just reverse the process. It only fits one way so the wires don't get reversed. Read More...
