How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011209 / WP74010750 Electric Range Oven Bake Element

I replaced the element with a new one from AppliancePartsPros.com! 

Once confirmed the bake element was not working (electricity not flowing through the bake element), I looked up the oven model number, ordered the part and then, I WATCHED YOUR REPAIR video. Once the part arrived, I followed the video instructions and the repair was complete in 10 minutes. Thank you! 

Purchased new burner and replaced. Was very easy. 

Went to the internet and found Appliance Parts Pros. Watched a video on how to repair their sight. I ordered the part and completed the repair. Simple 10 min process. 

New element. 

Upon removing the old bake element, found the problem was not the element but the wire on one side of the element was shorted and was not visible for attachment of the new element. Had to pull out the range, take off the back panel and add a new connector to the shorted wire. Replaced element out of caution. 

I turned off the circuit breaker to cut power to the oven. Then unscrewed the coil from the back of the oven, pulled both ends of the coil out with the wires attached and made sure not to let the wires slide back into the holes when I detached them from each side of the coil. Took out the old coil, reattached the wires to the new coil and screwed each side back into the back of the oven. Turned the circuit breaker back on and tested it. It works great! 

I purchased a new one from AppliancePartsPros.

I replaced the element. The new one was an exact replacement with no modifications necessary.
