1. The element went bad on Thanksgiving Day, with relatives visiting and a Turkey to bake,,,,
2. Had to cook the Turkey with a combination of pan frying some parts and using a Toaster oven on others. This all worked out better than expected.
3. Fixed oven a two weeks later by ordering replacement element.
4. The only problem was that the sheet metal screws (10-32) holding the element "in" seem to have sort of welded themselves to the oven interior wall. I had to drill them out.
5. I replace them with somewhat larger stainless steel ones.
I could wish that the original screws had a hex head, so I could have used Hex wrench rather than a Phillips screw driver. I tried using an impact wrench with a Phillips screw driver head, but the oven wall flexes too much, negating the utility of the "impact".
