How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6024122 / WPY04000066 Bake Element Kit

The problem was fixed by a local appliance business. This happened on a very important weekend that our family would come to celebrate my mother's sister who was coming home. We were in a panic not sure if we would be able to cook or warm our food. Everything worked out fine due to the timely manner in which the part was received in two business days. 

I ordered the part and replaced it. 

Ordered lower heating element. Replacement arrived a few days after order placed. 

Bake element was replaced. 

Searched by model number on AppliancePartsProis.com. Found the part and ordered. Arrival in less than 24 hours 

Her handyman Cousin said we didn't need a new oven just the elements needed to be changed. Bought your parts online and he fixed it and it worked perfectly. Just did a roast and it was great. Cuz also fixed the light switch that was also broke. 

My wife popped it in, in a matter of a couple minutes. I asked her how she did that so fast, and she just laughed and didn't respond. 

I’m a 70 year old woman. I watched the video and did exactly as it said. I had no problem changing this myself. 

The replacement is easier than I expected it to go. Took maybe 20 to 30 minutes as we did not want to damage the connectors. 

Turned off power to the oven, 220 volts. Removed 2 screws securing element, disconnected wires from old element and secured with hemostats,(roach clips). Discard old element. Present new element, attach wires, replace mounting screws. Turn on power. Bake a cake.
