How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005964 / WP2180224 Ice Dispenser Guide

Replaced broken control bracket and broken ice dispenser guide. Easy fix after watching AppliancePartsPros video and ordering parts from them. 

I ordered the part, It arrived, Installed it. No tools required. It just snapped into place and now, I get ice in my cup and not all over the place! 

Ordered a new ice chute 

Watched the repair and replaced it that simple 

Replaced Whirlpool original ice maker (age 10+), replaced ice dispenser guide (very dirty), ice dispenser door (just because its original) & cleaned adjacent parts while door parts removed. The how to videos for every part ordered were extremely valuable, showing great videos of disassembly and reassembly process!! Thanks you AppliancePartsPros.com!!!!! The ordered parts arrived quickly and fit perfectly. The 1-2 hrs included complete outer door cleaning (including water dispenser). I moved into a new house and the previous owners had left the dispenser unit dirty and grungy. I replaced the Ice Dispenser Lever, the Water Lever and the Ice Dispenser Guide. The website video gave clear instructions on how to do so. While I was in there I thoroughly cleaned all the crud that was in all the nooks and crannies on the plastic pieces. It looks like new now. 

Replaced worn out Ice Lever and broken Dispenser Guide per the instructions from the video. New Lever made the switch activate like it should! Video instructions were Great!! 

Purchased Ice dispenser lever and Ice dispenser guide. Followed video instructions to successfully remove the dispenser door panel and replace both parts. 

We replaced all related parts with the Ice Door Kit. 

I researched the repair for this part. It was quite simple however the replacement part was very tight to snap into place. I could not clip the bottom tab into the ice lever without breaking it.
