How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6011872 / WP8183202 Washer Door Hinge

Ordered and replaced the hinge after viewing the video on how to remove and install it. The correct part was delivered ahead of schedule. Could not ask for a better transaction than that. 

I followed the video on the website which was absolutely perfect. I would probably say from start to finish it may have been about 15 to 20 minutes. I was most impressed by the person who took my online order. She was very patient and looked up the information needed to be able to make the necessary repair. I thought that I had to replace the whole entire door which made it difficult for me to find the parts I needed on my own. 

Went to Internet Typed the Model Number into the Internet search slot Your site came up Went to your site and the part was displayed on a page with a video demonstrating installation Part arrived 5 days later I installed the part. It works. Probably saved $200

Watched the video, made the repair. The video was very helpful. 

Removed door and replaced parts 

It's a fairly easy repair. The part is designed for a one-person repair. Two sheet metal screws to remove the door from the washer, eight screws to loosen the window flange on the inside of the door and four screws to remove the hinge from the door. When removing the door from the washer, lift up... there are two hooks holding it that make attaching the door back on the washer much, much easier. You'll need a nut driver and star screwdriver. 

Ordered and installed new hinge. Works just like new! 

We ordered the part and it came quickly! We put it in and it’s working great! 

Took door off washer, laid it flat on table, unscrewed old hinge and took old hinge off and just put new hinge on.
