How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6026347 / W10873791 Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Replacement part from your company 

Ordered the replacement assembly part. Was assuming it was the thermostat which I believe was built into the assembly. Installed new part and all is working just like new again. The install video was very helpful also. 

I bought a new ice cube maker for Maytag Refrigerator through Appliancespsrtspros.com 

I bought a new one and installed it, to find out it still did not work. I rechecked the wire harness at the bottom of the refrigerator and found a broken yellow wire. I spliced the wires together and the ice maker worked. It is easy to remove and install the ice maker. 

Replaced Ice maker with new one from APP. The repair video provided by APP helped make this a five minute replacment. (I had already taken the some of the steps shown in the video to figure out what was wrong. sSo second time around, I was ready.) 

Bought a replacement ice maker assembly. It took 6 minutes to replace the old one. I watched the video and it was very informative which made the replacement easy. 

Replaced entire part. 

The ice maker did not produce any ice for an entire day, so obviously something was wrong. The tray didn't even have water in it. I tried to reset it to no avail and after checking for power with a multi meter, decided to just buy a new OEM unit from Apliance Parts Pros, who had it at my door in 2 days! The install took about 10-15 minutes with a 6 in 1 screw driver and works great now! 

Replaced ice maker unit for refrigerator 

I ordered the ice maker assembly and did the swap out myself--it was straight forward and relatively easy. What took the longest was waiting for the new ice cubes to drop so I knew that the whole assembly worked!
