How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6026347 / W10873791 Ice Maker Assembly

The new ice maker was the answer, five minute install, using a screwdriver and a nut driver. 

Replaces ice maker body tray,shutoff and tray rotator. 

Long story short, I bought cheaper after market parts to fix my dishwasher and it did not work. So I got on here and bought the genuine parts and it fixed the problem immediately. So save money and time and buy the genuine parts to begin with. Great service and I received the parts within two days. 

The fix is pretty straight-forward, have done it four times now. The Whirlpool design/product is the problem. I keep a replacement in stock, this was the replacement for that back-stock I just installed. I would suggest not buying Whirlpool but, if your looking at this, it's too late. Time to fix is not a straight forward answer. The actual replacement takes about 15 minutes but thawing out the ice-mess created by the poor design takes more time.

Replaced ice maker. 

I replaced the ice maker assembly with a new part from AppliancePartsPros.com and it works like a champ. 

Ordered a new OEM part from Appliance Parts and replaced the defective one myself. Most likely saved about $200.00 by ordering the part from you and installing it myself.
