How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP4008646 / 12001908 Washer Lid Switch Kit

I follow a youtube video changed the piece 123 now my machine is back to new. Easy part to change and only cost 21 bucks. This website saved me alot of money. I didnt have to call a repair guy or buy a new machine. Thanks alot for the fast shipping and correct part!! 

I could here the timer running and sometimes it would start if the timer was moved to another function. Replaced the lid switch and it did not fix the issue. Replacing the timer solved the problem. Fortunately there are excellent videos illustrating how to replace both of these parts, so I had no surprises, and the job was not difficult or time consuming. Thanks Appliance Parts Pros for next day delivery and helpful videos. 

Replaced lid switch. Took about 10 minutes (I'm slow). Works good now. 

Replaced switch. 

Replaced cover closed switch.

I somewhat deduced from the schematic drawing that all power goes thru the lid switch. A quick check on your website yielded someone else having the same problem with replacing the lid switch as the fix. I ordered it, it was here two day later!!! and I put it in and wha- la...I had to give my wife the bad news...she had to start doing laundry again. I have ordered stuff from you guys a few times and have always been happy with the results. 

Asked kyle if he thought I should try new switch and he said he would because it was a high probably that could be the problem..changed out switch and washer worked! Thanks for your help and fast delivery....just told my son to call you about his d/w problem.
