How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013694 / WP9704230 Blender Drive Coupler

I left a spoon in my Kitchen Aid blender - I highly recommend not doing this... :) . The part I needed arrived at my home very quickly ! I also recommend reading directions well. As is quite important to differentiate between "clockwise" and "counter clockwise" as to removing destroyed piece due to my negligence, and replacing new piece :). Appliance Parts Pros were extremely helpful ! Also a plus, I did not stay on hold long at all for "The next representative available" as with most companies. 5 Stars to this company !!!! 

Replaced coupler 

Replaced with new part. VERY easy. Super fast delivery. 

Part(s) arrived in three days...we ordered two so we'd have a spare. Replacement was simple thanks to the repair video supplied by the Appliance Parts Pros. Entire replacement process took seconds. At first it seemed the coupler had not unscrewed - the shaft also moves clockwise...but indeed it had and threaded right off. I only wish the rest of life was so easy. Just needed a screwdriver and a hammer. Thank you. 

I ordered the part and the next day it came in. I was able to pry the old off and put the new on. The mixer cost $168.00 back in 2011. The part to fix it cost less than $5.00. The instructions that came with the part, helped. 

Using a flathead screwdriver and a scrap of cardboard (so as not to scratch the finish of the blender) I pried upwards in three spots to remove the damaged part. The replacement part then screwed into place easily. 

I made the repair myself as I followed the enclosed instructions. 

I did exactly what the instruction showed me and got it done. very easy to do. thank for your fast delivery. I am very happy to have my blender working again. Gerda
