How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013694 / WP9704230 Blender Drive Coupler

Ordered and replaced part. Written instructions were NOT helpful. YouTube video was very helpful. Blender is fixed. 

Ordered parts from AppliancePartsPros. The video showing how to take off the old coupler was good. The motor, which had been working hard to drive the old, dull blades now hums away with sharp blades making short work of blending. Excellent service all around. 

Used the video online and had some trouble getting the disc off. r. Used the flat screwdriver and hammer as in video and after about 5-6 minute, pried it off. Easiest part was putting on the new coupler. I ordered part from you on Friday and received it the next day, couldn't believe it! Works like new again and the first project was grinding horseradish root for the Kielbosi sausage for Easter. Cheap fix for a great appliance. Thank you, Millie Yasenchak, Pottsville, PA

I followed a YouTube video which showed that you just use a screwdriver to pry up the old head and screw on the new one. Took about 15 minutes because I was trying to be careful to not strip the screws, but could be done more quickly. 

My husband removed the bad coupler and I put on the new one. Watching how to fix the blender coupler on YouTube was great! Thank you! 

I watched the video on AppliancePartsPro.Com and said to myself that is easy. I can repair my own blender. So I followed the directions and made sure I could take off the damaged coupler which I did with a little help using the screwdriver before I ordered a new one. It came right off. I really like my blender because it has a glass pitcher and it is a nice strong blender. It is made so well unlike the new ones which have the plastic pitchers plus when I use it does not move around and the lid fits tight. Now if I decide to get a blentec for heavy duty blending I can also use my kitchen aid for smaller blends such as smoothes, etc. 

Followed the linked video from the product description page and it worked out perfectly. Pried off the coupler exactly as described and screwed on the new one. Couldn't have been any easier! 

Accessed my go to Appliance Parts Pro account which displayed a video showing how to remove the broken coupling. Ordered the $6.00 part and wallah up and running in four days! 

My KitchenAid blender coupler melted onto the blender and was completely destroyed. Following the video supplied by AppliancePartsPros.com, I used a screwdriver to carefully pry the broken coupler off the blender. Then I used a plastic scrubbing pad to remove all of the rubber which stuck to the blender. Finally I simply screwed on the new coupler, tested the blender, and voila, it was fixed!
