How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013694 / WP9704230 Blender Drive Coupler

I ordered a new coupler and replaced the old one. 

Purchased new coupler from APP (not available on Kitchen Aid), followed video instructions and voila..new not so good blender. 

Searched YouTube using Brand Name and Model Number of blender. Found several videos explaining how to remove old coupler and install new. Appliance Parts Pros was identified as the source for a new coupler. I removed old coupler, ordered a new coupler from Appliance Parts Pros and installed the new coupler when it arrived. Blender works great! 

Ordered the replacement part which shipped in days. Followed the simple instructions to replace. Was fixed in minutes. 

I replaced the coupling with a new coupling. To loosen the coupling I used a screw driver and a hammer to drive the coupling in the clockwise direction. After a couple of hard raps, the old coupling spun off. 

Took off the damaged coupler by prying off with a large screwdriver and replaced it with new coupler. 

By ordering the part and watching the video - particularly about removing the old coupler and not destroying the threading on the post - then easily put the new coupler on and margaritas are once again on the menu! 

Like I did the previous 2-3 times ordered, new part and replaced it as instructed.
