How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5263280 / W10400895 Tub Centering Spring Kit

When online at your repair site. Was told it was Suspension Rods. Ordered the Rod kit and the Centering Spring Kit from you and they were shipped that day. Completed the repair and the washer works like new. 

We replaced the Suspension Rods and the Tub Cover which had cracked due to unbalance. 

Searched APP for a solution (tub centering springs). Watched the video. Ordered the parts. Had it fixed in less than 10 minutes! Works perfectly now! Never would have guessed that two little springs have such a dramatic impact on the appliance. 

I can hang a level picture, but I don't consider myself handy. Our washer had been banging around every time I washed a towel. I let it go on too long and the tub ring broke (yes, I realize this was bad haha.) So, I started researching replacement parts and this led me down a wormhole of what the problem could be and I started watching videos. I read another review (from a super mom) who had the same problem and what she did to fix. Sounded like I had the same issue, so I bought the same replacement parts, along with the tub ring. They came SUPER quick (which thank you because I have three kids and going days without laundry just isn't a thing) and I watched the videos THAT ARE LINKED TO YOUR PURCHASED PARTS - which is genius! It took me a little longer than expected because I have a very tiny laundry room but I did it on my own, they videos are incredibly easy to follow which is awesome and I learned so much! 

Replaced the Suspension Rod Kit and Tub Centering Spring Kit. 

My washing machine would not even balance with a load of only water, no clothing. I watched a repair video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website I ordered the new springs and suspension rods as recommended. 3 days later they were delivered. It only took me about 45 minutes and all the rods and springs had been installed. I decided to run a very small load and put in 1 large towel, and 1 pair of denim jeans, a load that should not balance out. I ran it without even an indication of a balance problem. This was great, it cost less than $100 and saved me $850 for the replacement washer. One very happy customer. 

This is actually Phase 2 of this repair. A bit more difficult but the AppliancePartsPros.com. The part video was on point with how to successfully replace the suspension rods. I did notice my cheaper Admiral does not have centering springs! OR they are not where they should be! PS If this is your first attempt at this you may need the help of an assistant, things will go much better with the second pair of hands - if you are a rookie like me. 

I watched the AppliancePartsPros.com video which described the symptoms I had and provided a detailed description of the repair. I purchased the kit to replace the tub suspension rods along with two new centering springs. The installation was exactly as shown in the video and was not simple, but was not complicated. There is quite a bit of tension in the springs so I pulled up on the rod and my wife was able to attach the top part needed. So far no issues with the washer. Would have cost me two or three hundred to have a repairman fix this. Thanks a bunch. 

I installed a new Suspension Rod Kit and new tub centering spring kit. It seems to have helped but I couldn't really find anything wrong with the old parts other than age. No loads out of balance yet and thumping has stopped. Shipping was quick. I ordered in the morning and delivered before noon the next day!
