How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6007666 / WP3149400 Range Surface Element Switch

Found your site and how to videos.. Ordered the switch and went to lowes to get some connects and tape and replaced everything in under 10 minutes. This was great as the alternative was a new stove.... 

Changed controller fixed issue 

Replaced rheostat (electronics behind knob). 

After watching your excellent repair video, it took me about 5 minutes to install the new switch. 

Unplug the range and take off the back panel to see the switches. Unscrew the old switch and put the wires from the old switch to the new switch one at a time in the same location. Screw new switch securely and replace panel. Plug back in and try it out. 

Ordered a switch from Sears parts after giving them all of the spec. Numbers- well they get an "F" ... Wrong switch- not even close... Called you folks and ordered the right one ( your order confirmation shows a picture of the part-unlike Sears.... Anyway we recieved it on Tuesday fom a Sunday order... Flew to Hawaii Island and installed the switch in 10 minutes!! 

Received the part less than 24 hours after the part was ordered. The repair was just like the video.No problem on repairs. My wife was happy for that is the burrer she uses the most. I will use Appliance Parts Pro for all my appliance repair needs. Thank You Troy Burleson, Tx 

Read directions and replaced the new switch 

I pulled out the stove and cleaned it up then removed the back panel. Once UPS delivered the switch, I removed the old one and replaced the wires one by one on the new switch. I then installed the switch and replaced the back panel. I plugged the stove back in and tried the burner to make sure it worked. All is well again. 

Replaced two infinite switches.
