How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016537 / WPW10185972 Timer

Talked with you all , determined the problem. Ordered the part. Fixed within 40 minutes. 

Installed a new timer 

I replaced the timer, and just because I had it open I also replaced the heat element, which was actually okay. The timer was worn out, that was it. I replaced the 2 thermostats as well. Works like a charm now! Found a mice nest in the timer compartment above the blower/heater unit. 

Repair went very well, especially after watching the video. The video was a great help with showing how to do each step. The replacement part was an exact copy of the old timer with cable connectors, etc. I was expecting to use jumper/spiced wires. etc. After watching the video it took only about 30 minutes to wrap up the repair. And the drying is working great , I thank you and my wife thanks you too.. 

I found your website and followed troubleshooting procedures and found the issue with the contacts in the switch, ordered a new one, followed the instructions on replacement, and is now working again.
