At first I thought it needed a new thermal fuse from YouTube videos I watched, so I tested it and found that was not my problem. I called an appliance repairman and he tested every component and found everything was functioning. His only conclusion was that it needed a new timer. He checked availability and found a new one that he told me would cost $289. I told him to forget it and put the dryer back together as I would probably buy a new dryer. Instead I checked on line and found that I could buy a new time for $88 including shipping. I ordered it, watched a YouTube video on how to change the timer and, voila, the dryer is working fine. You can do a lot more than you think you can, if you try.
