How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016537 / WPW10185972 Timer

Saw the AppliancePartsPro.com video on YouTube, ordered a new timer from them, received in less than 2 business days and replaced the part myself with the instructional video. Thanks APP! 

Replaced switch 

We watched the video on this website on how to change out the old timer (the plastic part had broken off and it wouldn't turn). My husband changed it all out in about 15 min. Saved us a lot of money as we didn't have to call a repair man!

Replaced timer, got the cut off kit for spare parts, (inexpensive enough to store it) 

I removed the old one and installed the new one. 

I had used appliance parts pro in the past with great success so i researched the problem,on appliance parts pro website,watched video on how to install,and ordered the part which was in stock. i received the part in 36 hours. the installation took 20 minutes, and was very easy and went exactly as the instruction video explained. my sister was back in business and doing her laundry.
