Replaced the timer. Had trouble figuring out how to actually install it. Specifically, how to remove the front-facing dial which is attached to the timer. On my particular model, the middle of the dial had to be pryed out. Some models you unscrew it, and some others you pull a tab apparently.
I had to do the other obvious things as well, such as unscrewing the front-frace plate, disconnecting the wires from the old timer. Oh, and unplugging the machine from the wall. That's probably the important thing that i did. I've heard that electrocution kind of sucks. It took me half an hour to (unsuccessfully) google how to remove the dial, but after figuring it out, replacement took less than 10 mins.
