How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6013067 / WP8540751 Washer Water Inlet Valve

After diagnosing the problem by using an ohm meter to check the pressure switch and cleaning out the filter I decided it must be the water inlet valve. Your website is really nice with the parts schematics I found the part I needed quickly and had it on order. Ordered on a Thursday and the part arrived early Saturday morning and about 15 minutes later it was working great again. Thanks for the great service and really like the videos you guys do on replacing the parts. 

Exchanged the water intake valve and it now works 

Ordered Water inlet valve which came super fast! Had it fixed in 15 minutes. no more error code. 

Removed and replaced the water hookup valve assembly. Problem solved. 

Removed back to find out where it was leaking and very simply went to appliance parts pros and found the part. Ordered it and in approx 2 days was installing it in the machine. 

Removed access panels Identified were the water was coming from Went on line looked up part on your web site Ordered the part note it came a day early ?? Installed part Washer works great 

I went on-line to find a replacement, the local Sears store could order it for me,but it would take about 22 days to get it. Searching on-line thankfully I found your site. The replacement was in stock,[and $2.00 less than sears] I ordered it { shipping was HALF the cost} and could not believe it when fedex delivered it the very next day ! Actually 23 hours after I placed the order. It was exactly as shown and described. Fortunately it is an easy part to remove and replace and I did a load of laundry 24 hours after ordering !! Your site is in my bookmarks,cause I know when something else breaks I can order with confidence. 

I called Appliance Part Pros and Michael helped me diagnose the probable cause of the problem. He was very patient and very thorough, and determined the part he felt was malfunctioning. My maytag 3000 front loader was dripping water all yhe time into the tub. I replaced the Water valve which is super easy. 4 screws and one clamp reconnect hoses and done. Just dont do what i did and connect the cold to the hot and hot to cold. 

Replaced inlet water valve, cleaned build up on detergent drawer and cleaned out pump filter. No error code so far, (10 loads so far.) Hardest part was unstacking washer and dryer to open to panel of washer.
