How to replace Stand Mixer Speed Control Plate. Looked at brushes first then played some video from online on how to adjust the speed. Tried that and it did not fix the problem. Went online to AppliancePartsPro and started a conversation with a representative and together we worked on possible fixes. She suggested a phase control board. I also ordered a speed control plate and speed governor just in case. Even though I didn't ask for expedited shipping the parts came in 2 days. The parts order came online with video links to help with the repair. I replaced the phase control board and speed control plate because I had them. The more that I researched the speed governor I realized that it probably was not the problem.
