Electrolux Dryer Igniter

The Ignitor is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This part ignites the gas burner that generates the heat necessary for drying clothes.  Note: Part has been redesigned and is now a flat style ignitor instead of round ignitor.

Causes of a bad Ignitor can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical issues such as short circuits or power surges, and physical damage from debris or residue buildup.

Symptoms of a bad Ignitor include:

• The dryer not heating up, leading to clothes remaining wet after a cycle
• The ignitor not glowing or sparking when the dryer is turned on
• Extended drying times due to insufficient heat production
• The smell of gas without ignition, indicating a failure to light the burner

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

This glow-bar igniter lights the gas burner in your dryer so it can produce heat. When the igniter is cracked, weak, or open, the burner won't light and clothes won't dry properly.

• Unplug dryer and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Handle the igniter carefully—ceramic element is fragile; avoid touching it with bare fingers
• Note wire routing and burner alignment before removal
• After installation, restore gas/electric and check for proper burner ignition
