This is a flexible gasket that seals around the oven door to prevent heat from escaping during cooking. It fits into a channel along the perimeter of the oven door or oven frame. Replace this gasket if you notice heat leaking from the oven door, uneven cooking temperatures, the oven not reaching the set temperature, or if the gasket is visibly worn, torn, or hardened.
