Alan H Birmingham , AL June 14, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FRS6R3JB0 Ice dispenser no longer worked properly Initially I noticed the crusher drum was cracked and broken so I replaced the drum the retaining nut on the end of the auger and the circlip and washer. it worked fine for a time and then the drum began free wheeling. upon further inspection I discovered the retain nubs on the auger had worn down allowing the blade to slip down the auger body. so I replaced the auger, drum, drive blade, and drive cam. I recommend if you gave a problem with the ice dispenser you break down and inspect the entire assembly un the ice bin. this will save you a lot of time. in the midst of all this the drive motor burned out as well. bottom line I rebuilt the crusher back to front starting at the drive motor the only parts not replaced were the bin itself and the crusher blades. if you are mechanically inclined this is no big deal. when it comes to assembly use your camera on your phone to take pics of wiring and orientation of crusher blades for quick reference . Greg M Houston , TX May 26, 2017 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FRS6LF7FB3 Ice dispenser was not dispensing Watched the very informative repair video and determined that the rectangular hole in drive blade had gotten rounded out and lost its connection with the auger shaft. Replaced the drive blade and dispenser works like new again. Possibly saved couple hundred dollars repairing it myself. Taking reference pics as you disassemble helps greatly with reassembly. Your video allowed me to take apart the ice maker bin and determine what parts I needed to order. As a result, I discovered I needed both the drum and the blade. I received the parts in a couple of days. Doing the repair was really easy after watching your video. It all works great now!
