Matthew G Palmyra , NY February 21, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Dryer FEQ332ES0 Frigidaire dryer feq332es0 stopped heating First, let me tell you that this is the fifth appliance I've fixed with parts and help from AppliancePartsPros.com -- At this rate I'll never get to upgrade to nice new appliances. :-( When my wife said the dryer wasn't heating up, I looked online for common causes before I even headed to the basement. A lot of people talk about the fuses going bad, so I figured that's what it was. Next, I watched the videos on how to get to the internals of the dryer. (I hate it when I try to figure it out myself and end up breaking something) Once I opened everything up and tested the fuses with my DMM, I went back to the internet and learned how to take the drum out. Once it was out, I could see that the heating coil behind the drum was burned through. Online, everyone wants to sell you a $70 replacement coil with hood. I just wanted the coil, as I knew I could easily replace that. Luckily for me, my guys at APP here had it dirt cheap! I took the old coil out of the ceramic mounts, put the new one in, made sure it wasn't touching any metal, and slapped everything back together. (Of course since I had the thing apart, I greased up the drum bearing -- No more squeaksqueaksqueak!!!) The dryer now takes far less time to dry clothes, as it gets nice and hot. Thanks guys! So happy with your prices, service, and videos -- again! Read More... 22 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

Jacob H Salt Lake City , UT February 07, 2015 Heater coil would not heat I took the top and front off of the dryer and pulled the drum into the opening where the door would have been and let it sit there (the drive belt was still attached). Then I unscrewed the tray that holds the heating coil. It was still difficult to work on so I unscrewed the connector on top of the tray and pulled the tray out of the dryer. Once the tray was out, I set it on the counter and laid the coil out around the perimeter of the tray and attached the coil to the insulating brackets according to the instructions that came with the coil. With the coil in place, I put everything back together in reverse order. Note: the ball on the back of the drum needs to be set into the supporting socket. Lift it high and set it in place. I did this project by myself but it would have gone faster with someone else there to help with lifting the drum. Mary B Fargo , ND January 09, 2015 No heat when dryer was running total cost $36 00 I looked at utube videos and followed the instructions to determine the problem. This included figuring out how to use a multimeter (again utube video). Then ordered and installed the heat element. Put the dryer back together. It works perfectly.
