This Fuse is an OEM part for Frigidaire microwaves. It's a critical safety component designed to protect the microwave from electrical overload by breaking the circuit if the current is too high. This fuse is specifically tailored to fit and function properly with Frigidaire microwave models, ensuring safety and reliability.
Fuses in microwaves can blow due to power surges, electrical faults within the appliance, or overheating caused by restricted airflow or malfunctioning components. A blown fuse prevents the microwave from operating as a safeguard against potential electrical damage or fire hazards.
Symptoms of a blown fuse include:
This Frigidaire OEM replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and some Kenmore models.
After doing some research the problem appeared to be the door safety switches. I ordered 3 new ones to replace all the original ones. Some minor disassembly of the microwave front was required to reach the fuse and switches. To reach the switches the control panel wires needed to be unplugged and the panel removed. After doing that replacing the switches was pretty strait forward. As of this comment the microwave has worked for 5 days without blowing the fuse so far. This has probably fixed the... Read more
The Thermal Cut Off is an OEM part for Frigidaire microwaves. It is located inside the microwave cavity or near the magnetron tube. It is designed to monitor the temperature and interrupt the electrical current if it exceeds a safe limit. This prevents the microwave from overheating and potentially causing damage or hazards.
Causes of a faulty or damaged thermal cut off can include regular wear and tear, electrical malfunctions, or overheating due to excessive use or blocked airflow. These factors can result in issues such as the microwave not heating food properly, frequent shutdowns during operation, or complete failure to function.
Symptoms of a bad thermal cut off may include:
This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.
The Thermostat is an OEM part for Frigidaire microwaves. This thermostat monitors and regulates the temperature within the microwave, ensuring that it operates within safe limits and prevents overheating.
Causes of a bad thermostat can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical issues, or damage from power surges or overheating events, which can impair its ability to regulate temperature.
Symptoms of a bad Thermostat include:
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
This thermostat is a temperature-sensitive switch used in select appliances to regulate heat or provide over-temperature protection. Replacing a failed thermostat restores consistent temperature control and helps protect internal components from heat-related damage.
Looked at schematic on AppliancePartsPros.com. Checked power, power filter, next component in line was the thermostat, found thermostat with signs of overheating, thermostat was open, replaced the thermostat, micro works perfect. Took longer to get it out than diagnose it. Read more
This temperature control thermostat regulates refrigerator temperature to keep food safely chilled. It replaces a faulty control to restore proper cycling and temperature stability for the fresh food compartment. What it does:
Purchased this thermostat for $13 and spent 6 minutes fixing the microwave. This was after I was quoted $162 to fix the microwave from a service technician. I explained that I wasn't paying $162 to fix a $200 microwave and they offered to dispose of the microwave for free--yeah, right! $13 and 6 minutes later, my microwave was fixed with this part from AppliancePartsPros.com. Thank you! Read more
This thermal fuse stops excessive heat by opening the circuit when temperatures get too high, protecting the appliance and its components. Replace a blown fuse to restore normal heating or safety shutdown functions. What it does:
This thermostat is the refrigerator temperature control that senses cabinet temperature and cycles cooling to help maintain set temperatures. It replaces a failed control to restore reliable temperature regulation. What it does:
