Edward W Morrisville , VT September 22, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher PDW8200J03CC General electric dishwasher Ordered Impeller and Shaft Seal Kit which came overnight. Easy to put in after watching the video. While installing I found that Inlet Sump was ripped and ordered the part which came overnight. Trickier to install but thought it went well. Even though Shaft Seal probably was not the problem it did need replacing. Got it put back together and water would come into the dishwasher but it would not start and pump the water to wash. Called Tech Support and got some answers but did not have time to try suggestions which were to take the machine back out and check connections. The wife called a repairman before I could try that. The repairman came and showed me how hard it was to turn the motor so he will put in a new motor. I have no idea why the motor would go bad. Allow time to; -Take the machine out -Find blankets or towels to use on the floor to turn the machine upside down for ease of repair. -Get stuff out of the way underneath the sink to reach fill and drain connections. -Have towels or pan to put underdrain and fill lines to catch water. -If you have a single-handle faucet the cold water can back feed through the hot water feed and leak. I had to get a cap for the hot water feed. -You will probably want to clean the floor under the machine when you take it out. -Our dishwasher had some screens partially clogged with a white filmy material. Could be from labels or the plastic from soap pods or........? It was hard to scrape off and get it all. -When taking the dishwasher out be careful to look for shims and where they go to make reinstall easier. Everything considered, all went very well with the parts and instructions from AppliancePartsPros.com and I would not only use them again but I will recommend them. Bruce B Tega Cay , SC December 27, 2014 Appliance: Model GE PROFILE DISHWASHER Continuously plugged spray arms from disintegrated rubber sump Pulled dishwasher from the cabinet and flipped onto its side. Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way. Kevin W Rochester , MA January 20, 2016 $1000 dishwasher didn't clean dishes Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". Wulf D Leawood , KS October 27, 2014 Appliance: Model GE GDWF160R10SS Water leakage due to a hole in the inlet sump from mice attack Replaced the inlet sump with the replacement part from Appliance Parts Pro that came with less than 1 day delivery (outstanding!). Just had to loosen the 3 clamps that tightened the connections of the sump to the sump pump, thermal sensor and water inlet line. Pulling the sump out of the bottom of the machine needed a bit stronger pull, but did work well. The new part did fit perfectly, only when attaching the large clamp one has to make sure the rubber edge tightens properly an all sides with the dish washer bottom. Chris L Gorham , ME March 14, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher PDW9280J00SS Spray arms and bearings were worn screens were clogged and pump connectors were deteriorated and leaking I replaced the upper and mid spray arms and bearings, removed filters and screens and cleaned everything. Pulled pump and replaced the connector and the collection sump. Repair took about 3 hours and went very smoothly thanks to the AppliancePros video! I'm on the east coast so I could not believe it when the parts arrived less than 24 hours after I placed the order! Prices were great too . . . I'm a customer for life and my dishwasher cleans the dishes like new now!
