Sara A Bozeman , MT November 13, 2024 Grinding noises and squeals during agitation in 7 year old ge washer Ordered a new shift actuator, clutch and spring, replaced those and the belt (wasn't sure what part was failing, but I chose to cover the basics). No more grinding! I am a 47yo mom with some mechanical ability (e.g. can change the oil in a vehicle) and this repair was easy-took less than an hour.
