Gibson Dishrack

The Lower Rack Assembly is an OEM part for Frigidaire dishwashers. This rack is designed to hold dishes, cups, glasses and other utensils securely in place on the lower level during the washing cycle.

Causes of a bad lower rack can include warping or bending of wire prongs over time due to heavy loads, corrosion from constant moisture exposure, breakage of plastic parts, or shearing off of roller components. Heavy pots and pans can put significant strain on the rack.

Symptoms of a bad lower rack assembly include:

• Items falling through or between prongs during the cycle
• Rack unable to securely hold dishes in place
• Rack unable to smoothly roll into and out of the dishwasher
• Loud clanking or banging noises accompanied by excessive movement

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Includes: One upper rack assembly. Installation notes:

• Disconnect power before servicing; turn off water if moving the appliance
• Open both upper rails and remove or release the end stops
• Slide the old rack out; transfer any rack-mounted accessories to the new rack if needed
• Insert the new rack into the rails, reinstall end stops, and check for smooth travel
