Once I purchased the correct motor it literally took less that 10 minutes from start to finish to replace the motor. After unplugging the refrigerator, I unscrewed two machine screws to remove the cover and unscrewed two machine screws to remove the motor. I removed the old motor from the housing, installed the new motor, reattached the motor to the refrigerator, replaced the cover, and plugged in the refrigerator. Installation was quick and simple. I took the easy fix first and replaced the Capacitor. That got me three loads before the motor burned out. Replaced motor and new solenoid and yoke assembly, motor ran fine but Ice maker did not make Ice, water was turned on and the wire off and on latch was is the down position (on). Disconnected the water line from the Ice maker tray, ice had formed in the line while I was waiting for my parts (about 5 days), I would suggest disconnecting the water line at the feed end were your shut off valve is located and allow water to drain out of line. Replaced the fan and blade. Would have been easy except the mounting threads were different than the original Kenmore freezer came with. After a 14 mile round trip for 2 5/32 screws and washers, I had my freezer back. Included an improved wiring harness than the original. Read more

I used the internet and checked a dry fuse, and it tested ok. Checked the start switch, ok. So it had to be the motor. Sharon at the company agreed. Motor, and belt arrive very fast. ordered the belt because, if I had it apart why not change it. Internet also helped get the dryer apart.
