Gibson Washer Dryer Combo Switch
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 134399700
The Start Switch is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire dryers. This part initiates the dryer's cycle once the user selects the desired settings. By pressing the start switch, the motor activates, and the drying process begins, ensuring clothes are dried according to the selected specifications.
Symptoms of a bad Start Switch include:
- The dryer not starting when the switch is pressed
- Intermittent starting issues, where the dryer sometimes starts and sometimes doesn’t
- The need to hold the switch in place to keep the dryer running
- Unusual noises when the switch is pressed
Causes for a malfunctioning Start Switch can include electrical issues, such as faulty wiring or connections, wear and tear from frequent use, or internal failures within the switch mechanism that prevent it from signaling the motor to start.
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore dryers.

This allowed the panel to be pulled down from the top, revealing the back of the switch. At this point I took a picture of the wiring connections with my cell phone to make sure I put them on the new switch in the same...
